Family Economics and Investing Talents

How many people in America are receiving welfare from the state? How many in the church receive food stamps? How many sermons are preached on the topic of business and economics?

It is disastrous for the future of this country, and for each person at the Judgment Day, when God will ask what has been done with the talents He has given each one of us. Sloth, futile entertainment, sinful passions, excuses, and a host of other things plague our young men and women. Our society has departed from wholesome laws and principles of God’s Word.

This sermon addresses how to identify the talents God gives us, and encourages families to work together based on the Parable of the Talents from Matthew 25. Pastor Scott Brown shows how talents are the opportunities God gives each one of us for the purpose of multiplying spiritual treasure for our heavenly Father, and how disobedience and slothfulness can come from our failure to identify such opportunities in our lives and the lives of those in our families.
